Skullcandy China is seeking a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Skullcandy China brand. This position will help plan and execute all marketing campaigns, bringing them to life across all channels including Retail, PR, Social and Ecommerce. This individual embodies the Skullcandy brand, lives and breathes our culture, and must stay intimately aware of the competitive environment, in both action sport and cultural trends. S/he will be responsible to cultivate and nurture positive relationships with both brand partners and marketing business partners with the goal of strengthening the brand in China.


The Marketing Manager will report directly to the China Marketing Director and work closely with the China Sales team as well as the Global Marketing team. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Creates opportunities with potential marketing partners, pursues networking opportunities with emphasis on Youth Culture that includes; Music, Surf, Skate, and Snow.
  • Responsible for executing approved marketing events including grassroots events.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with key individuals in various organizations, agencies, affiliates and categories in order to facilitate marketing and business opportunities, with the goal of fostering positive long-term relationships.  
  • Aid in the negotiation of event contracts and marketing partnership agreements.
  • Serve as the cross-functional lead for B2B marketing and sales transactions.
  • Seek, evaluate and execute new social media and platforms and technology opportunities and stay at the forefront of the adoption of new social media trends, tools, and channels. 

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of marketing & brand initiatives from opportunity (brief) to execution.  Including; Prioritization, schedule, tracking, approvals and execution.   
  • Track expenditures and needs across all initiatives to ensure budgetary compliance, evaluate and communicate budget status with management.
  • Manage and Coordinate Social and PR agency.
  • Provide post-initiative recap including postmortem and data analysis. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports for our global dashboard & sales meetings
  • Create Marketing plans with a digital-first bias, incorporating Skullcandy activities that bridge brand strategy and business objectives.
  • Partner with Sales to evaluate business performance and to identify marketing solutions.
  • Manage digital advertising for Ecommerce and Brand including providing feedback for product developement page.
  • Be the point person for all brand assets & in store fixtures.
  • Coordinate with global teams to execute the digital strategy.
  • Bring the optimal Skullcandy experience to life in partner retail stores.

Overall Qualifications:

  • 4 years of relevant management experience.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
