A day in the life of a Logistics Analyst looks like;
40% Distribution and / or Transportation
- Responsible for daily follow up on orders released to the warehouse.
- Work with the Sales OPS team and supplier to adapt to changing demand by pulling in, pushing out, orders and shipments to minimize shipping delays.
- Help optimize Global warehouse efficiency (Inbound, Outbound and inventory accuracy) per the direction of the Logistics Team Lead and Director of Logistics.
- Pro-actively manage inbound shipments and update other departments on impact and minimize it at the same time.
- Streamline processes and keep open communication with the warehouses / transportation partners in order to alert, report and escalate issues.
25% SAP and 3rd Party applications
- Receive inbound shipments in SAP and report issues on discrepancies to the team in China.
- Actively use 3PL platforms to identify potential issues and delays.
- Action Open Orders and assure compliance on performance from suppliers.
- Communicate and update overdue POs weekly
10% Supplier Management
- Support the Logistics Lead in escalating structural issues on different suppliers.
- Gather supporting data to raise CAPAs with suppliers in order to fix.
25% Ad Hoc Duties
- Help ensure daily flow of work is managed.
- Support various departments and their requests for information on inbound status, inventory levels and outbound order statuses.
- Support ad hoc meetings from a data and presentation standpoint

Education: BS or BA in any field.

- Experienced logistics professional in ocean, trucking, small parcel, and/or warehousing
- Process Oriented: Think end-to-end on how to make work processes more efficient.
- Proactive Learner: Desire to learn new things and put the learning into practice
- Detail Orientated: You can catch one error in sea of a 1000 emails
- Follow up: You close the loop, button things up, seal it tight. You know what we mean.
Skills
- Excel: you don't have to be a wizard but you have the aptitude to learn things like pivot tables and vlookups
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external including with nonnative English speakers.
- Experience with SAP a plus
